$10 million bounty for super-efficient cars

Submitted by bwilliams on Fri, 03/21/2008 - 12:37am.

A race for super-efficient cars, with a prize pool of 10 million dollars. I know I can't wait to stop getting raped at the gas pump and make the switch to an electric vehicle for most commuting needs. ZAP ,Tesla , and funky-looking Aptera are already signed up.

I don't put too much weight into most analyst Recommendations, however I think this advice is on the $MONEY$ for the rest of 2008.

Has Google lost its charm?

Submitted by bwilliams on Sun, 03/09/2008 - 11:04pm.

Nope, but it's share price has taken a nice haircut. From $747 on November 7, 2007 to $433 at the last quoted price. This upcoming week might be a doozy as well, but my advice would be to buy Google (GOOG) if its price declines further from here or even, hopefully, drops below $400. Here is a great article about some of the Google 'mojo' that Wall Street may be overlooking.

ETF's for your portfolio

Submitted by bwilliams on Tue, 03/04/2008 - 12:51pm.

A good article on Exchange traded funds and their usefulness in one's portfolio. ETF's offer a great way to diversify on the cheap and profit off of market trends.

Some of my favorites: DBA, FXI, EWZ, EEM, BIK, GDX

This Warren Buffet guy thinks that the U.S.A is currently in a recession. What the hell does he know anyway?

Will March become the fifth down month in a row?

Submitted by bwilliams on Tue, 03/04/2008 - 1:15am.

A solid look at whether or not March is shaping up statistically to be an upper or a downer. Following four straight monthly losses in this market, we are headed toward a fifth, right?
